I live in Lexington, KY, one of the top 10 cities in which to live according to some magazine that came out a few months ago. My 2 daughters, Mallory and Chelsea, and my hubby Clay keep me very busy, and I am a teacher as well. It's something I thoroughly enjoy. My dog Amos is a "handmedown" pet from my bro. I adore him and I think he loves me back, hard to tell with the language barrier and all that.Chelsea is my Princess that is entering UK, my alma mater, this fall. Mallory is our "resident angel" at home, and she brings more joy than anyone could imagine!
I have 2 siblings, Renee, foreign language teacher in TN, and David, a superstar in the making in duo Halfway to Hazard; their single "Daisy" is on the radio.. Renee use to model all over Europe when she was younger. SO, these 2 siblings are "hard acts to follow," if u know what I mean.
My mom, Virginia and stepfather Jim,are near us in Richmond. Mom is busy these days following David's career. She is so very proud she can "hardly stand it." She has wanted this for him since the day he took his first breath.
Mallory, my daughter, is special. She has Rett Syndrome. It is a genetic degenerative disorder that happens once in a family and never again. There are only 4,000 cases diagnosed in the US today. Mallory is a gift to us, and she has made our entire family better people with her smiles, cooing, and absolutely the most perfect face I have ever seen. If you want to know more about Rett Syndrome(there's a cure that has succeeded in mice and they are working on the human version)and/or want to send a small donation to aid in the research, please go to IRSA website or INTERNATIONAL RETT SYNDROME ASSOCIATION. Or RSRF Rett Syndrome Research Foundation.
Chelsea, my beautiful 17 year old, is a total blessing as well. Not only is she gorgeous outside, but she is even prettier inside. That is something I am most proud of. As Bugs Bunny would say at the end of his cartoons...."DUHUHUHUH...That's all folksflash" allowScriptAccess="never" allowNetworking="internal" height="370" width="350"
