New England isn’t known nationally as a hot bed of rap and hip-hop talent, but Springfield, Massachusetts artist Tommy Pocketz is out to change the misconception you need to be in a huge urban area to be heard. While Los Angeles and New York boast hundreds if not thousands of established artists along with up and coming talent, Pocketz is banking on building a strong following for his music outside of the urban sprawl. Currently Tommy is in contention to win a heated contest being run throughout November sponsored by WZMX-Hot 93.7.
The tracks Leg’s Wide Open and What It Smell Like are two perfect examples of Pocketz racy and outrageous material and something that could put Springfield on the map in the hip-hop world. Those two tracks and a few others can be sampled at both Tommy’s My Space page and the Raw Radio My Space page. November and December are proving to be quite busy, as Tommy will be performing several concerts throughout the remainder of the year including dates leading up to the big Hot 93.7 vote. Fans of established rap artists should definitely look closer to home hear what’s coming from the streets of Springfield!

Tommy Pocketz is a well known rapper/producer out of Springfield Mass, also co C.E.O of Dunn Entertainment and C.E.O of P.O. Duction. Born in Springfield Mass on June 7 to James & Minnie Green.
