Here we are again. Sitting in the same black and white world- scanning through our myspace pages as if maybe it’d save our soul. I have an about a biography, or me but I’m so young, things are still being written. The dry pages of my book, so deeply needing someone to write it, read it, memorize it. I’ve got maybe a small percentage of my book written, but so far- it’s just a prologue. People always have told me to make something of my life, and the small bit of it that I’ve experienced was nothing short of a green mile- sentencing me a day closer to my unworldly end. It’s as if my feet are stuck in a relapse of a dream, slugging through quick sand as I’m sinking farther and farther down- keeping my nose in the air, praying soon that it wont rain. Maybe that’s how we all live our lives. We keep our heads so far up in the air, that every time it smells like rain we quickly throw our heads south- a protection mechanism because the last person to keep their head up was found six feet under in a prison box. The worms pick at our hearts and souls, leaving us bone dry and dense as a cardboard box that only Walt Disney dreamt. If you choose to live your life in a pine box, the worms picking at you, where does that leave the inspiration for the canvas or blank book you need to write. If you have different authors but the same story, no one would be willing to read. It’s a plain fact that everyone is different, but we all have the same story line- wanting nothing more then to be that number one summer hit we can’t get out of our heads. Murder. Mystery. Romance. We’re all plain books, but no one’s dared to ever pick up a pen and start scratching out their thoughts with a finger prick- the blood, sweat, and tears all running through the chapped pages. Chapter one, they say, is nothing short of a miracle. The first breath of the character being brought to live through the ashes of a broken condom dream. We are introduced to this person usually by the life keepers, feeding the character, changing the sack around our ass, and tending to our every need. Chapter two, is something we’ve all heard before- but still the critics of life are breathless with the imagery. The first day of education the character is left at the yellow transportation, a plastic bag carrying books strapped to their back, a brown sack in the hand and the character is happy. Yes, we catch a glimpse of emotion from the character- finding it so hard in the later days of the book. I, so far have only been introduced to the second chapter as the author isn’t done writing. He’s sitting inside dense, smoke filled bedroom- his scotch in one hand and his whore on the other- everyday life passing him faster and faster. His thoughts are flying faster then his pen and he can’t catch up with the broken dreams he never needed to experience, his own mind being his best friend. The author was the kid we all want to read a book about, but no one ever took the time to write something about him. They were all to scared by his crooked smile, off brand clothes- and the fact that he wasn’t beautiful. It’s been said. It’s been over said, over used, and worn out but he was beautiful on the outside- his soul blossoming into the flower everyone smelled secretly in their spare time. Like Adam and Eve tasting the forbidden fruit, everyone wanted a piece of the author. They would close their eyes, clinging to the tattered dream filled notebook their eyes searching the paper as maybe the author would possess them. Be your own author. Write your own story. Exist.
The eyes are the window to your soul.
These people have beautiful souls
