All About Me Update 4-18-2007

Hello friends and future friends. I'm Jody and I live in the wonderful University area of Charlotte. I bought my first home in July of 2006 and since then have been working to see how messy I can make it.

I've got an interesting family situation, I'm the youngest of 7 children. I have 5 sisters and a brother. We all live around this area so we are close to this day. I love having so many people for support. I definitely feel blessed to have them all.

I'm into all sorts of things, but at heart I'm kinda nerdy. I like science and technology, and I love watching tv shows about nature.. I work for Dell, so even my job has to do with technology. I'm also doing some work on the side, so if you need anything fixed on your own PC let me know and maybe I can give you the myspace friend discount.

Besides the nerdy aspects of my life for which I think are positives. There are also the less nerdy things that I'm into. I like playing golf, but I'm no Tiger. I love cooking on the grill. Cant beat the flavor you get from grilling. Plus maybe there is some primal urge that cooking over a flame satisfies.

There are tons of other things I could list but really I dont think its necessary. Pretty much just know that I am smart, handsome and great all around. ;)

My Interests

Guitar, I bought a keyboard a year or two ago, never really got very good at it, I can still play a few things on it though. Hoping that this new obsession with the guitar will stick. I love music and making your own seems even more fun.

The LAKE, got a boat for the summer, so I'll be sking, fishing, tubing, and generally drinking the whole time on the lake this summer.

Some of my past interest that I still enjoy from time to time include, golf, astronomy, computers and the list goes on. One summer I decided I was going to buy a racing go kart and race it. I bought it and played with it a while, but decided that it was an expensive habit. I'm a fan of movies and music, but so is everyone else in the world. I took this picture of the moon through my telescope.

People I would like to meet

I would like to meet people in the Charlotte area for friends, and possible relationships. I like people that are down to earth and have some sense, but also know how to act like they don't have any sense. Its important to know how to laugh at yourself, like when you fall down the stairs at a Christmas party (see blog).

Music:

Jump by Van Halen

Lately i've been listening to music with good guitar work, Van Halen is is a good example.

Want to hear some more guitar? Get some Yngwie Malmsteen, I"d reccommend his version of Beethoven's 5th symphony, its powerful coming out of an electric guitar.

New Stuff: The Shins, Crossfade, Killers, Shinedown, Cake, Jason Mraz, Maroon 5

Old Stuff: The Who("Pinball Wizzard" is hillarious, "Behind Blue Eyes" is great, and there are so many other good ones), Led Zeppelin("All of my love" is awesome), Bad Company, 38 Special, Queen("Killer Queen" is good), I like some party music too, but only when there is a party I dont sit around and jam to Trick Daddy, but at a party hip hop is fun.

Movies:

I'm a movie fan, Braveheart is the greatest, I love mob movies, Godfather 1 and 2 are the best, Good Fellas...awesome, Casino, Resivoir Dogs, Scarface is great, Blow. I also like other kinds of movies, my one criteria is that I only watch good movies, these piece of crap movies that hollywood puts out to get teenagers in the theaters I think suck, so if the movie is based around special effects then I usually pass, unless there is a good plot behind all the special effect crap example....Matrix trilogy, those were good.

Television:

My TV is for Sports, and the ocasional good movie that comes on HBO
