Bitch, I'm 'bout to ball this!

About Me

Originally from Gaylord, Michigan, I now live in sunny Colorado now with my fabulous husband and 3 cats. I'm a very open-minded person who loves anything that makes me laugh. I love music and books and anyone with an open mind and open heart who loves to have fun. Life has taught me a lot and treated me well so far and I'm just takin' it as it comes.»-(¯`v´¯)-» Design your MySpace with MyLook «-(¯`v´¯)-«

My Interests

Everything, people, places, observing. Music- all kinds. I'm always open to something new. Going to concerts- big, small- doesn't matter. I love to read. Fiction, non-fiction, anything. If someone recommends a book to me, I'm all over it. I love watching NBA basketball- Go Nuggets and Pistons! I'm learning to love football. I like being on the computer, designing things and playing around with stuff. I get to do that for work a lot and it's very fun. I like people and just being out with my friends and loved ones. I love cats, animals in general, etc. I like taking road trips, especially with my husband.

I'd like to meet:

Anyone who would like to meet me! I'm especially interested in getting in touch with GHS class of 97 classmates so we can have one hell of a ten year reunion! Background By Profile Mods

Music:

All Music! My all-time fave is Alanis Morissette. Let's see... Aslyn, John Mayer, JM Trio, Marc Broussard, Pat McGee Band, Boomkat, Gwen Stefani (guilty pleasure), Thievery Corporation, Zero 7, Sia, Scissor Sisters, Mark Farnia, Maroon 5, Rob Thomas/Matchbox Twenty. Train. Postal Service. I could go on and on. I also like tons of hip/hop, rap, dance stuff. I don't know all the artists- I like good beats and it's good dancing music. I like a ton of random artists and random songs- depends on what I'm in the mood for...

Movies:

Comedies, romantic comedies, suspense/mystery and action movies. Not into horror flicks. Too many to name any faves just keep 'em coming. I'm always down for a good movie.

Television:

CSI: Original, The Closer, Wanted, Grey's Anatomy, House, Bones, Criminal Minds, Saved. TNT NBA Thursday Night. Monday Night football. I am not a big reality TV fan but I will admit that I do really like So You Think You Can Dance. The crazy thing is that I have all these favorite shows but I don't actually WATCH TV.... we record everything on the DVR (God bless the DVR!) and then watch all the shows, fast forwarding commericals, in one long session when we have time! It's the best this way!

Books:

Anything by Michael Connelly. I also enjoy James Patterson, Harlen Coben, James Grippando. I totally loved 'Empire Falls' and 'Straight Man' by Richard Russo. 'Blink' by Malcom... can't remember his last name but it's a good book. Anything by Carl Haaisen. Hilarious. I like reading suspense books, mysteries but not cheesy ones. And no romance novels. ugh. ack. yuck. I want the book to feel real, a real mystery or whatever. I want to cry and be freaked out, etc. when I read! I also read non-fiction but my true reading love is getting lost in a good, intelligent, well-written mystery. It's like getting caught up in a good movie. I love to read and I spend more of my free time reading than doing anything else.

Heroes:

My parents, for starters. Amazing individuals who worked hard for everthing they've ever had and instilled in me healthy values, morals and the will to go after my dreams. My husband, Michael, for being great at what he does and such a good person to everyone. He is so HUMAN... just eating it up and helping everyone along the way. He is such a kind soul, never a bad word about anyone or anything. Just living and being and enjoyng the ride... I aspire to be more like that. My sister, Stephanie, for being a strong GOOD single mother and surviving instead of blaming and sinking. Really anyone who does anything to leave this world a better place or to be an example or positive for someone else is a hero in my book.
