The Music of Greg Soundz

About Me

As the son of a musical family, Greg got his love and appreciation of music very early. The church has been the breeding ground for countless artists and Greg is no exception. Writing his first Gospel song at the age of 5, Greg moved on to singing in the choir, directing the choir, playing piano and writing songs for the choir by his teens. Not only embracing sacred music, Greg was heavily involved in school music programs from Elementary school to High School. As a result of his talent he was recognized as a Distinguished Scholar in the Arts receiving a partial scholarship to attend any school in the state of Maryland and performed in Constitution Hall.
In college as a member of the world-renowned Morgan State University Choir under the direction of the late Dr. Nathan Carter, Greg had the opportunity to perform in world famous venues including Carnegie Hall and tour the US.
Today, Greg Soundz has become a respected favorite on NYC's underground circuit and audiences at The Sugar Bar, SOB's, Sepia Lounge, The Remote Lounge and summer events in Morningside and Marcus Garvey Parks have all fallen in love with the music of this gifted tunesmith. Greg writes the songs that make women swoon and brings grown men to tears. One listen to the music of this amazing singer/songwriter/producer will leave you wondering why you are just hearing these songs for the first time.
Poised to follow in the footsteps of the legends that have done it before him, Greg is ready to take the industry by storm.
Currently Greg is working on his album, Heart of A Gentleman, writing and recording songs for a spiritual album entitled Meditations and will be featured on the lead single of Ohene's forthcoming album, The New Sound of Philadelphia, which is being heralded by industry heavyweights as a project to watch.
