Long story for these 3 young boys from the northwest hills:Everything started back in 1996, as Christian Borgogno (bass) and Andrea Poggio (drums) joined Andrea Virga (gtr, vox) to put up a rock-band based on the early 90's "grungy" sound (e.g. Nirvana, Sonic Youth, Weezer, Stone Temple Pilots, Silverchair...).After a couple of years spent playing songs like "Territorial pissings", "100%", "Interstate love songs", "Nancy boy", "Freak"... and stuff like that, Polish Child decided to write their own songs and to record their very first EP named after the band. That was in the year 2000.2003: The band gets older, the songs get better, and Polish Child wins a local contest which brings the band straight onto one of the most important stages in Italy: the TORA TORA! rock festival (headliners: Subsonica, Marlene Kuntz, Julie's Haircut, Yuppie Flu, Afterhours..)2004: debut album; title: "Easy chords, good guys". Recorded between January and May, Turin and their hometown, 13 songs, hard work, good job.During the year 2005 the band experienced a major crisis among the members due to Virga's departure to Ireland and Andrea Anania's fast collaboration which ended in october 2006.2007: back to work with happyness; these are the right words to describe recent facts about this tiny little band. A brand new EP - expected to be released in May - will be recorded @ Greenfog Studios in Genoa.More is still to come. Stay webbed.
