I think of myself as quite a eclectic fellow, I would say I spend the majority of my time studying movement, how things move, why things move, what contributes to where they are going, all the while moving myself... I enjoy yoga at spontaneous moments throughout my waking hours, while asleep I focus on remembering how to fly, so one day I will be able to when I am awake. Gravity is a term that I constantly attempt to define as I see each one of us having our own. If unwanted habits become individuals inertia, it seems to me that if you aren't actively gravitating towards something then it becomes very likely that you will absorb the inertia of those around you.I am a massage therapist who is actively seeking regular clients. The type of work that I do is based on the idea that when we sleep & as we live, our mind runs through dreams and scenarios and our emotional body reacts to them effecting our physical body. The way we interact with others affects our posture and in some instances manifests neuromuscular tension. When we are awake, we grow and learn how to interact with others in ways that don't manifest neurological congestion, but when we are asleep it can be more challenging for us to integrate our knowledge into our responses that occur during our dreams which explains why some people wake with stiff muscles. So the main intention of my work is to release the muscle tension near the spine that manifested during times when you were less conscious. I believe that congestion is responsible for the majority of the interruption between the brain and the rest of the body. Releasing this has such a drastic effect because the body has a self healing mechanism, that when the nerve channels are free of muscle tension (essentially slower moving energy) the communication between the brain, glands and organs is uninterrupted and the body is capable of maintaining a more holistic state of health. Where movement is much more fluid and information flows with greater ease from one part of the whole to anotherDuring my treatments I use soothing deep tissue Swedish techniques to warm the entire body before gently, and mindfully using more specific techniques like elbow work to release the deeper points of congestion.
