'Red Cavalier Music.' is the project title for my first foray into writing and recording an album of my own. One of my purposes in making this is to try and finally get out what it is about music that makes me feel great. I've always loved the soundtracks of Henry Mancini - the atmosphere that his amazing textures create just send me away, in the same way with Vangelis' 'Blade Runner' soundtrack, or Pink Floyd's 'Meddle'. I think it takes any musician a while to find their voice; and it needs you to be honest with yourself as to what floats your boat. There are all sorts of themes in the music, but I'll let you make up your own mind I think ;o)
I now find myself, at the start of this project, in a very happy position of being able to make this album with the all the musicians and friends that I've met along the way.I've listed them on the left - check them out.
