Check out my band EdstanleY' rippin into "Soul Sacrifice:
Scott is a dynamic, auto-biographical artist with a unique, eloquent blend of every facet of emotion. His vocal delivery varies from smooth, sensual, flowing melodies to jagged, rhythmic growls, to gut wrenching, soul-searching screams. His lyrical themes are just as varied; Intimate social commentary on the webs of media-bred disillusion, Private interpersonal emotional tribulations, Or forgoing such seriousness and recalling stories of late night debaucherous encounters with sexy temptresses.
With a love for aggressive rock and possessing a unique pop sensibility, Scott’s music can best be described as “Heavy Popâ€. From gentle, flowing arpeggios, to grinding punk power chords and ruthless metal riffs, Scott commits solely to the genuine feelings emoted from his soul, defying any boundaries of classification within the rock genre.
Scott has taken his soul and united it with 2 of his truly good friends, Dave Rees and Justin Brescia and together, the 3 of them are a synergistic trio named EdstanleY. Recently re-united after a short hiatus while Big Dave was in Brazil, EdstanleY has moved into a 24 hour rehearsal studio in WLA and are playing shows about once a week, anywhere from San Diego, to Los Angeles to Las Vegas, so there's plenty of opportunities to come check these boys out! Long live EdstanleY and the ConexioN that these true homeboys posess.
In addition to being a singer/songwriter in the rock genre, and destroying crowds with EdstanleY, Scott is also a guitarist in a kick-ass, blues based, Hollywood rock n’ roll band called “The Resistanceâ€. With roots in early Guns N Roses, AC/DC and Motley Crue, The Resistance is a five piece band with diverse, incredibly talented musicians and is a true collaboration. Having recently completed a colorful, exciting ten song demo, The Resistance is currently playing gnarly, intense shows on the Sunset Strip and various venues in the Los Angeles area about 2-3 times a month.
Scott also enjoys composing emotional, catchy electronic music and recently placed a composition in a short film by writer/director Jon Jones entitled “Welcome to Zydecoâ€.
In addition to his pursuits as an artist, Scott is also the Owner/CEO of TBKP Productions. (Truly Believe and Keep Pushing Productions) 5% of all profits from TBKP are donated to the Tupac Amaru Shakur Foundation or TASF in 1997. The TASF's stated mission is to "provide training and support for students who aspire to enhance their creative talents." The TASF sponsors essay contests, charity events, a performing arts day camp for teenagers and undergraduate scholarships. The Foundation officially opened the Tupac Amaru Shakur Center for the Arts (TASCA) in Stone Mountain, Georgia, on June 11, 2005. I can trust that Afeni Shakur has teamed with an incredible group of similar minded individuals who strive to bring the experience of creating art to children who may not otherwise be exposed to the positive, uplifting, confidence building beauty of finding the artist that lies within us all.
