i'm your basic mutt: half-japanese, french, german, english...god only knows what else. oh, but as a categorical agnostic i suppose that's a pretty ambiguous term. religion-wise i suppose i'm a mutt, too--but then so are most japanese, who are born christian, marry shinto and die buddhist. add some iowan methodist, hawaiian unitarian and a splash of yogic tantra and you have something close to what i might call my spiritual road map. no wonder i end up going in circles. my professional life is a bit more straightforward: i write. (it's a luxury that i never suspected i would attain)

people who like to smile, drink, laugh and actually feel it! AND they're curious, contented with some juicy drama and tasty inner conflicts and accomplish, again and again, what they set their minds to do.
