About Me

GunsFireMayhem enjoy very much to yell all loud about some stuff. They have been doing it together for about a year. If you'd like us to yell all loud n shit at your place, please let us know. thank you.... ------------------------------------------------------------ -------------------------------- GunsFireMayhem shoots off a fast round of arty, noisy punk rock somewhat akin to the legendary "thinking man's" hardcore band Born Against adorned with shimmering layers of keyboards. The young Lower East Side/Brooklyn NYC quartet formed out of the late-90's squat-punk scene but seems more apt to pay its rent these days. (DC)-Willamette Week;Portland, OR---------------------------------------------------------- ---------------------------------------------- "Skronk, thrash, fuzz — all satisfying words, and Guns Fire Mayhem and Battletorn definitely wrote them in thick block letters on their Trapper Keepers during math class.... With their lo-fi, freak-out punk, GFM would be at home on a bill with Born Against-related outfits such as Wrangler Brutes and Men's Recovery Project. Tonight, they rock a local DIY space with Battletorn. So rip the sleeves off your denim jacket and chug a beer — this show promises to take you back to the night you snuck out of the house and got so drunk you carved "Lemmy" on your arm with a pocket knife." (GM)-FlavorPill;NYC/CHI/LA---------------------------------- ----------------------------------------------------------- "Falling into the catchall category of "art punk," GunsFireMayhem leans a lot more on the punk aspects of their music. Hysterical, sneering vocals combine with standard punk drumming, guitars played at metal speed, and even a creepy keyboard, which helps make them a tiny bit reminiscent of the Murder City Devils, but with different tastes in melodrama. The whole thing manages to sound urgent and danceable, which is about the best you can hope for on a Thursday night" -Portland Mercury ------------------------------------------------------------ --------------------------------------------- "If John Carpenter wanted to re-release his 80’s classics like They Live or Escape from New York, complete with unnecessary digital effects, he should look up Guns Fire Mayhem to rescore them. They’ve got a keys-driven hardcore sound that strangely recalls the synth-obsessed director’s soundtracks. Everything sounds a little like Halloween, not just Carpenter’s but also The Misfits’. The band sounds (and looks) like an all-star team of rock subgenres: a little Danzig guitar, NOFX drumming, Rites of Spring vocals, all held together with some “Final Countdown” keyboards. It’s a bizarre combination, but then again, who thought Rowdy Roddy Piper could carry a feature film?" -Jimmy Legs (NYC Blog)
