info english: when your day's been really shitty and you actually feel like doing nothing else but running amok with a huge automatic gun in the next pedestrian zone, you should grab a hold of the radiants' debut album which is being released this octobre, slam it into the cd-slot of your stereo and heat things up for yourself and all your neighbours. that'll save you long years in prison, psychotherapy bills etc. and after having rocked through your apt you're certain to feel some form of relief (even if some of your furniture may not have survived) or even better: find a motorway with no speedlimit, throw in „bullet flavoured kiss“ and floor it. +++ ten songs will blast out your brains – this 6-member-combo from duisburg created the term „hate rock“ which describes their punk'n'roll perfectly. garnished with tiny samples, this solely english repertoire of songs, carried by aggressive, misantropical, drug-luving (would you mind...)lyrics, snots into the face of civilization, just to give it one last kick in the arse. +++ ah- that's the kind of music i can really deeply relate to ! If you want to get a better picture of these boys' sound, plastic bomb's swen bock description „a bastard of type-o-negative and gg allin“ also fits the term. Of course one should not forget to mention, that the unique sound of these radiant guys (from the realms of germland) stems from three (!!!) 80s metal guitars; as well as the trashy organ sound of danu's keyboard, fronted by dirty shouting by singer mosch. vocals that just make you wanna rock on. It doesn't take much to hear that these six guys are certainly anything other than beginners. Although their sound is rough and dirty, it has clearly been professionally assembled and recorded. +++ And to top it off, the boys - all ex-members of the bands affront, eisenpimmel, richies, colvins, among others, still being involved in other bands and projects of the hardcore/punk scene – impressively display their experience in each of their smashing live stage appearances (gigs). Old Turbonegro meets the Murder Junkies !!!
info deutsch: wenn dein tag so richtig scheisse war und du eigentlich nichts anderes mehr möchtest, als mit einer riesigen knarre durch die nächste fußgängerzone amok zu laufen, dann solltest du das im oktober erscheinende Erstlingswerk der radiant boys zur hand nehmen, die cd in deine anlage hauen und deinen nachbarn sowie dir selbst einheizen. das spart lange jahre im knast, psychotherapien und ähnliches und dir geht es nach dem durch-die-wohnung-rocken sicher besser (wenn auch einige möbelstücke dabei zu bruch gehen könnten...). oder noch besser: such dir eine autobahn ohne geschwindigkeitsbegrenzung, leg "bullet flavoured kiss" ein und gib gas. zehn songs pusten dir die ohren durch und die von der duisburger band selbst kreierte schublade "hate rock" beschreibt den punk'n'roll der sechs jungs eigentlich perfekt. garniert von witzigen samples kommen die songs mit den ausschließlich englischen, aggressiven, misanthropischen und drogenverherrlichenden (pfui! so was...) texten daher, um der zivilisation ins gesicht zu rotzen und nochmal nachzutreten. ach, das ist mal musik, die mir so richtig aus der seele spricht. mein favouritn "bullet flavoured kiss" soll hier mal als anspieltipp gelten. wer weitere schubladen braucht, um sich eine genauere vorstellung von dem sound der boys zu machen, dem sei hier die definition "ein bastard aus type o negative und gg allin" des kollegen swen bock (plastic bomb) angeboten. natürlich darf auch nicht vergessen werden, das der einmalige sound der verstrahlten jungs vor allem durch die drei (!!!) 80er metallastigen gitarren; die trash-orgelsounds aus danus keyboard; dem dreckigen geshoute von sänger mosch und den einmaligen backing vocals besticht, die einfach zum mitrocken einladen. dass die sechs jungs alles andere als anfänger sind, merkt man dem sound, obwohl der gewollt dreckig ist, wirklich an, denn das ganze ist durchgehend professionell eingespielt. auch live kann man sich bei jedem boys-konzert der überzeugenden spielsicherheit der jungs überzeugen, die allesamt ex-mitglieder von affront, eisenpimmel, richies, colvins u.a. sind und immer noch bei diversen anderen bands aus dem punk/hardcore bereich mitmischen. 10 von 10 möglichen punkten im bereich "asskickin' newcomer releases"!
