Hamilton Story

About Me

The members of Hamilton Story all grew up on Eastern Long Island. Having known each other since high school, the band officially formed in 2001, and took their name from the street on which singer Rich Lamiroult was raised (Hamilton Avenue). To date, most of their material has been composed and rehearsed on that same block. With influences ranging from Sam Cooke and Stevie Wonder, to the Red Hot Chili Peppers and D'Angelo, Westhampton-based Hamilton Story infuses R&B-driven vocals with funk, rock and soul stylings. Lyrically, the band is inspired both by their collective experiences, and their imagination; some tunes are completely autobiographical, some hypothetical, and others a combination of the two.Hamilton Story's vibe is best captured in the energy and excitement of their stage performance. Through intense rehearsals, recording, and late night writing sessions, the band's live sound leaves an unmistakable impression on its audience. From headlining in hometown venues such as the Stephen Talkhouse (Amagansett, Long Island), to packing some of New York City's most famous clubs, the band's hard work always pays off when the crowd is buzzing with energy, and singing along to their songs. With their remarkable chemistry and trademark sound, Hamilton Story continues to evolve, so stay tuned and be sure to catch them live as they tour the Metropolitan area."From show to show there is no doubt that the timing is right and better days are coming indeed." (Don Sills, Good Times Magazine)
