The 90's Batman cartoon is and will always be the best TV show ever. It was the first superhero cartoon I watched that didn't try to make sacrifices in story, dialogue, or characterization just to appeal to kids. It stayed true to who Batman was and until Batman Begins, was the best adaptation of him that existed outside of comics.
Honorable mentions go to Futurama, Family Guy, Daily Show, Firefly, Pinky and the Brain, X-Files, Arrested Development, and the Batman spinoffs(Justice League, Superman, Batman Beyond).
I started reading at a late age, but once I learned I just couldn't put books down. There's way to many to list, but I'll try to list some of my favorite books from various periods of my life.
Age 6: There's a Monster at the End of This Book; Green Eggs and Ham
Age 8: Matilda, Witches and anything else I could find by Roald Dahl, The Phantom Tollbooth, Hardy Boys, The Three Investigators
Age 10: Hobbit/Lord of the Rings, Jaws, Jurassic Park, The Lost World
Middle School: The Death and Life of Superman, Batman: Knightfall and any Star Trek/Star Wars book I could get my hands on
High School: Almost anything by Margaret Weiss and Tracy Hickman, as well as R.A. Salvatore, 1984
College: Otherland, Catch-22, Harry Potter, Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy, Dune, Dark Tower, Wheel of Time
Post College: A Short History of Nearly Everything, It, The Shining, One Flew Over the Cuckoo's Nest, The Elegant Universe, Alice in Wonderland, The Satanic Verses, Cosmos, The Ancestor's Tale, Fahrenheit 451, The Alphabet of Manliness
