About Me

In my job, I work with young people. They are always saying "Do you use myspace?" or "Did you see so and so's myspace page?" so I figured I'd check it out. This is a sweet little situation they got here...About me: If you knew me in as a child, in high school, or in college, then not much has changed. Except I am probably a bit less pissed at the world. It would be easy to say I cleaned up, found Jesus, but c'mon, really? Who does that???Recently, some would say I am in the midst of a mid-life crisis, which is hard to do when you are in your twenties. But there are just some occurrences in life (e.g. being single after eight years of coupledom) that really make you re-evaluate things.Since graduating with a poltical science degree (aka the degree where you get a completely unrelated job), I've been working at a nonprofit org that works to keep young people from smoking. It is really anti-industry, which appeals to me. Anyhoo, life is just chugging along, and I would love to connect with kick-ass people who enjoy good times, rockin out, and basically aren't uptight jerks. And really, isn't that why we are all here?

My Interests

Achieving a higher plane of existance (does sarcasm translate well on myspace?)

I'd like to meet:

I invite anyone whom has ever known (or claims to have known) me to look me up and drop me a line. I don't bite, and chances are pretty good I remember you and think of you often, fondly. Also, I am always up to meet people who enjoy movies, good conversation, and making fun of others.

Music:

Anything by Radiohead, Elliott Smith. Beck. Fiona Apple. Prince. The latest Strokes. Franz Ferdinand. Any Otis Redding, Al Green, or Marvin Gaye. Tom Petty. I do love the Kanye West, too. Coldplay. Recently, grooving to latest Snow Patrol, Seu Jorge, and The Stills.

Movies:

This changes all the time. Right now, I am really trying to enjoy and focus on funny movies: Anchorman, Wedding Crashers, Old School, and Harold and Kumar Go To White Castle. Favorite Movie of All Time? Toss up between The Goonies and Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind.

Television:

I am losing my pay cable soon, so let's just focus on basic channels: The Office, Grey's Anatomy, Veronica Mars, Family Guy. The trashiest show I love is America's Next Top Model. Everybody's got faults.

Books:

I know this is going to sound super-lame, but does anyone read books anymore?

Heroes:

Everyone I know inspires me in their own way.
