Bit of an odd one when it comes to music, but here goes:
I have a broad, sweeping love for almost all Classical music. This ranges from
Mozart, Beethoven, Bach and some of his sons, to some of the lesser known artists, even as modern as George Gershwin. The only thing about Classical music that ever bugs me is extensive use of the harpsichord. Not sure why, but the twangy sound gets to me after a while.
And now we come to my other love: metal in all of it's forms. Again a bit of a sweep here, all the way from 80's hair bands (I'm looking at YOU Mötley Crüe), to NWOBHM like Queen and Iron Maiden, even coming up to modern stuff like Trivium and Korpiklaani, and of course everything in between.
Also, as of recently (read: in the past two or three years), I have been dragged into the punk scene.
Now, this doesn't mean that my room is covered with poitraits of Handel and Vivaldi in between posters of Van Halen and Godsmack with Sex Pistols or Vandals stickers thrown in randomly. However, one glance at my playlist leaves most people staring at me with that "Huh?" look on their face...
As of recently, I have discovered the sheer genius that is Dr. Steel. If you haven't listened to any of his stuff, do yourself a favor and check it out pronto! Doctorsteel.com
Oh yeah, I also have a shameful tendency to listen to 80's and 90's German pop music from time to time.
