About Me

I am a Polish crescent-shaped dumpling made with a (often thick) noodle wrapped around a filling. Sort of a central European ravioli! I love Pittsburgh, a city famous for its love of me! I am also big throughout the midwest, and wherever there's a significant Polish-American community.I am mostly filled with potato, cheese or cabbage, or some combination of these. Some more moden chefs stuff me with broccoli, bacon bits, chives, onions, and anything you fancy. I can be boiled, fried, baked, and sauteed. What do you prefer? Perhaps with a dollop of sour cream? Or maybe as a pierogie pizza? The possibilities are endless!
