Zoey's Picnic

About Me

When most people envision a picnic, they don't see a hardcore rock and roll band with a female lead singer. Zoeys Picnic is just that. The group, which consists of four members, has been together for four years and already has a strong fan base in Charleston, South Carolina. With many gigs under their belt, the group continues to make a name for themselves whenever and wherever they play out.One of the bands selected to play the 2006 Vans Warped Tour, Zoeys Picnic is moving forward with great strides. Recently opening for Hurt at the Music Farm, they have also played many local and regional gigs.. Their website on myspace.com gets a lot of traffic, and the fan base continues to multiply. Each individual possesses talents that alone are something special. When put together, Zoeys Picnic becomes a group whose diversity blends into a sound that is uniquely their own. They will continue to gain fans and make a name for themselves while pushing forward both musically and creatively.

Sounds Like: WHAT PEOPLE ARE SAYING ABOUT ZOEY'S PICNIC..."Great show guys! We really enjoyed having you on the same stage. Your music is awesome and you are truly captivating! Look forward to any gigs inthe future. If you guys want to come back up here to NC just let me know what your requirements are and we will try to help you guys in any way we can. I must say that despite you being a super HOT female you are one of the best fronts that I have seen in a long time....maybe ever!" Sincerely, Jason Matthews Lead Vocalist Flashpoint oooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo oooooo"I was absolutely mesmerised. To say that their lead singer is beautiful would be sorely understating the case. She is devestatingly beautiful. I had seen her off-stage and thought she was merely pretty, but when in the throes of her performance she tranforms into a siren of frightening passion and moving gorgeousness. The fact that the lyrics were difficult to understand lent itself to an effect that moved me to the brink. Her keening howls were filled with fervent emotion, and the remainder of the band kept the pace magnificently. The bassist retained his happy demeanor, and that ingredient added to the overall chemistry of the performance. At one point he presses a fret, and presents the bass to the singer. She deftly plucks a string and his smile seems to echo the power of the deceptively simple exchange. The lead guitar is quite gifted, but does not distract from the overall effect of the show by showboating or extensive soloing. The drummer, as any good drummer will be, was invisible. His rhythms held the rest of the band together and made the whole show possible. These people are here for the band, and not for their own self-aggrandizement. The whole is greater than it's parts. The songs blended seamlessly together, and I could hardly tell you the names of any of them. I was utterly transported and the only word to describe the effect is fusion. I felt like a part of the performance, though I made scarcely a sound. Though I was but a mere spectator I felt like a part of the show. After it was over I avoided even speaking to the performers out of fear of shattering the illusion. No matter what those people are like when they're not Zoey's Picnic, Zoey's Picnic is what I came for and I thoroughly enjoyed what I got. Keep up the good work guys."
