Welcome To The AbyssWhat do you need to know about me? Well, my name is Dann and I am a deeply religious and God loving human being. I am a Defender Of The Faith and I can't wait for Sunday (or should it be SONday???) so I can go to church. If I don't go, then how is God, the omnipotent one, going to know how much I love Him???? I mean, He gave His son for my sins!!!! What a fool.... I am not a believer nor follower of ANY religion. I have my own "religious" beleifs and they are more philosophies than anything. I don't need God nor a preacher to tell me what is right and wrong, nor how to live my life... I like to think for myself and not be a brainwashed sheep thank you very much! I feel tha same way towards our Government. Now before I say what I have to say and you all get all pissy, this is without a doubt the best place (Except maybe Ansterdam...) to live and I am GREATFUL I don't live anywhere else. But this country SHOULD be better. Anyway.... Freedom is very dear to me, especially freedom of speech. I may not agree with you but I feel you have the right to think differently than I or anyone else. Now in this post 9/11 era, we let our Government take way our rights in the name of security. We become the enemy in the name of Political Correctness. Through bills such as the Patriot Act they gave themselves more power than they need or should have over the citizens of this country who did NOT attack this country. And we the people just let it happen like good little "Sheeple". We also have a government that is WAY too busy worrying about the rest of the world to focus on problems in our own back yard. Now I am neither for nor against what we are doing in Iraq. I am glad that Saddam is out and I do support or troops but feel too much time and too many soldiers died and seeing how we have the biggest military in the world, I can't see why it is taking so long. War should not be faught with political correctness! Speaking of taking so long... it's been over 6 years since 9/11 and we are still no closer to catching Osoma than we were on 9/12/01. Am I the only one who hs a problem with that? And then our government is in bed with big businesses (Especially the oil companies)and these corporations like Exxon and Enron... Let's not get started on that... it pisses me off too much....
Other things you may want to know (If you're still reading this) is that I moved to VA Beach from Stratford CT in 1998 to live with my now ex-girlfriend Natalie and our psycho cat Evil Ernie. It was a long and great realationship but I just realized that she wasn't right for me nor me for her. I couldn't give her what she wanted and vise versa. I also realized that I would rather live my life alone searching for the right person than settling for living my life with someone who I know isn't the right one. Maybe one day I will find her. Maybe I already had her but let her get away. I don't know but I will keep searching. Another thing you will notice is that I am a BAD speller. I am half Ukraniane, 1/4 German, and 1/8 Irish and English. I really am into history, especially German and starting to get into Ukranian history. I figured I should learn about my family's origns since they came from there not that long ago (I am only the second generation born in the U.S.) I love music and play guitar. I am an old and ancient long-haired metalhead and Defender of the Metal Faith(I will be looking for a band soon)yet I am a child of the late 70's and 80's so I have a very wide range of musical influnces and my music collection shows that. I started playing guitar in the 80's as a rocker, but when death metal was young and I got into Sepultura, Kreator, and Death, I started down the road of playing and writing death metal songs. I found that was what was and is in my blood. I will be 80 and STILL listening to my old death metal cds. I rarely act my age. I am facinated by the dark side of life. Though I am not religious, I do have a weird fasination with the crucifixion and movies/documentaries about it. The 2 most facinating time periods to me are the time of Christ and the time of Hitler. It amazes me how one man who may or may not exisited has changed and influence the world for over 2000 years. It also amazes me even more that a loser, jailbird vagabound can rise to power and take one of the poorest countries in the world and make it one of the richest and get people to blindly follow him no matter what atrocities he committed. What amazes me more is that he wrote a book saying what he would do if he ever got into power and people STILL let him into power. It's crazy! Anyway... The last thing you should know is that once I know people well enough to know how far I can push it, I have a pretty good and warped sense of humor. "What does the I.N.R.I. stand for on the crucifix?" "I'm Nailed Right In!" Now that shit is funny! While we're on the subject... do you think Jesus thought it really was a good friday??? Remember kids.... Jesus enslaves....
