I am here for Friends

About Me

I'm going to keep things simple and actually write about me. My name is Eric Chamblee and my interests are Rachel, Friends, Movies, Music, Games, Longboarding, Parkour, Anatomy/physiology, mythology, Philosophy, Psychology, Understanding Life, Japanese culture, Samurai, Warriors from history, tea, reading, martial arts, some anime, karate, fishing, Foreign languages, religions, enlightenment, Buddhism, Zen, cool shit, electronics, Rachel again, and trying to relax... let me know if i forgot anything. I am currently going through a lot of problems with stress and I have changed a lot. If I am different than how you used to know me than i hope you like the new me. If you meet me I may be stressed, frustrated and very intellectually dark; I may also be relaxed, enlightened, and very optimistic. Thought I'm not bipolar I have a very dualistic personality that varies from day to day. I am a very open minded person who likes to discuss so message me if you have anything on your mind, Peace.
These are some things that strongly represent my perspectives on life or maybe just some other stuff I found to spark creativity and invoke intellectual thought. They are from friends, movies, philosophers, scholars, books, art, etc. Please engage me in thoughtful conversation and help me add to this list. If any art appears faded I have added the title and artist so you can google it for a clearer picture. Enjoy.
"Man, I see in fight club the strongest and smartest men who've ever lived. I see all this potential, and I see it squandered. Goddamn it: an entire generation pumping gas, waiting tables; slaves with white collars. Advertising has us chasing cars and clothes, working jobs we hate so we can buy shit we don't need. We're the middle children of history man; no purpose or place. We have no Great War, no Great Depression. Our Great War is a spiritual war....our Great Depression is our lives. We've all been raised on television to believe that one day we'd all be millionaires and movie gods and rock stars; but we won't. And we're slowly learning that fact. And we're very, very pissed off." -Fight Club
It’s a schemer who put you where you are. You were a schemer. You had plans. Look where it got you. I just did what I do best-I took your plan and turned it on itself. Look what I have done to this city with a few drums of gas and a couple bullets. Nobody panics when the expected people get killed. Nobody panics when things go according to plan, even if the plans are horrifying. If I tell the press that tomorrow a gangbanger will get shot, or a truckload of soldiers will get blown up, nobody panics. But when I say one little old mayor will die, everyone loses their minds! Introduce a little anarchy, you upset the established order, and everything becomes chaos. I am an agent of chaos. And you know the thing about chaos, Harvey? It’s fair. -The Joker, The Dark Knight
"The Great Wave of Kanagawa" Hokusai
Injustice, noun:the quality of being unjust or unfair; lack of justice; wrong. The injustice in modern society plauges every level of the life; from the poorest of poor to the richests of the rich. Those who do wrong are glorified and those who do right are maginzalized. From common rapper thugs to billionare crooks modern society has an unhealthy infatuation with those who break not only the laws of their fellow man but the unwritten laws of morality. However, instead of recieving their due punishment they in turn are rewarded and glorified with multi-platnium records and short stints in Club Fed. On the other hand those who live lives of morality are pushed to the fringes of society and veiwed as deviates of the mainstream. They struggle day to day living life on a correct moral compass while those who stray from the path of rectitude and respect surpass them as celebrities and role models for a disillusioned society. I say this, if the wrongs of our so called 'Great Modern Society' are to be corrected this admiration of criminals and wrongdoers must end. Instead the respect and honor should go to those who are self-sacrificing in order to improve the lives of their fellow human beings. Ω -Tyler Ode
"Hipocracy is a far less complex subject than you project it to be, it's like wiggling your finger in front of a flashlight and seeing a 20 foot python projected on the wall. A belief can only be so firm, because all thoughts themselves are both fluid and compounding. Every thought spawns another thought and each thought is built upon a previous thought. having gone to church as a child, and then renouncing your faith as an adult is "Hipocracy", yet really it is only the refinement of a way of thinking. So, although I urge you to make some action in the attempts of improving your situation, all I ask is that you make a choice that follows some path of logic. For in logic there is no such thing as hipocracy, and therefore no wrong." -Sean Tubman
The Master Said, "At fifteen, I had my mind bent on learning. At thirty, I stood firm. At forty, I had no doubts. At fifty, I knew the decrees of Heaven. At sixty, my ear was on obedient organ for the reception of truth. At seventy, I could follow what my heart desired, without transgressing what was right." -from the Confucian Analects
"Walking on a Mountain Path in Spring" Ma Yuan
Is God willing to prevent evil, but not able? Then he is not omnipotent. Is he able, but not willing? Then he is malevolent. Is he both able and willing? Then whence cometh evil? Is he neither able nor willing? Then why call him God? -Epicurus
Death does not concern us, because as long as we exist, death is not here. And when it does come, we no longer exist. -Epicurus
Now you will receive us. We do not ask for your poor, or your hungry. We do not want your tired and sick. It is your corrupt we claim. It is your evil that will be sought by us. With every breath we shall hunt them down. Each day, we will spill their blood till it rains down from the skies. Do not kill, do not rape, do not steal, these are principles which every man of every faith can embrace. These are not polite suggestions, these are codes of behavior and those of you that ignore them will pay the dearest cost. There are varying degrees of evil, we urge you lesser forms of filth not to push the bounds and cross over, into true corruption, into our domain. For if you do, one day you will look behind you and you will see we three. And on that day, you will reap it. And we will send you to whatever god you wish. And shepherds we shall be, for Thee, my Lord, for Thee. Power hath descended forth from Thy hand, that our feet may swiftly carry out Thy command. So we shall flow a river forth to Thee, and teeming with souls shall it ever be. In nomine Patri. Et Fili. Spiritus Sancti. -Boondock Saints.
"As I see society, people make the arts into commercial products; they think of themselves as commodities, and also make implements as items of commerce. Distinguishing the superficial and the substantial, I find this attitude has less reality than decoration." -Miyamoto Musashi
"I'm forty-seven. Forty-seven years old. You know how I stayed alive this long? All these years? Fear. The spectacle of fearsome acts. Somebody steals from me, I cut off his hands. He offends me, I cut out his tongue. He rises against me, I cut off his head, stick it on a pike, raise it high up so all on the streets can see. That's what preserves the order of things. Fear." -Bill the Butcher

People who think about why they are the way they are, people different than me who are willing to backup why they do the things they do. Somebody with all the answers.
