About Me

I don't dance. I text too much and I never answer my phone. I like my popcorn slightly cold. Buttery, like soup but only from the theater. I couldn't take a compliment to save my life and I've been through more cell phones than I have fingers and toes. I'm not as confident as I used to be but I'm as happy as I've ever been. Piano and Italian are the most beautiful sounding anything I could ever hope to hear, someday I'll learn both. I have a filthy mouth but can't cuss in front of grown-ups. I still use the word grown-ups. If I don't fall asleep first I forget every movie I ever watch, so each time is like the first time. I worry too much about other peoples feelings. I could drool an ocean in my sleep. Laugh lines are something I look forward to each and every day.
And these are a few of my favorite things: 11 o'clock news, a good challenge, acoustic guitar, acting 7, alphabetical lists, ampersands, anticipation, aphrodisia, apple cinnamon oatmeal, appreciation, architecture, art, astronomy, being awesome, blue pens, board shorts, books i'll never finish, bottled water, boxing, brett favre, cage fights, cajolery, candy, captain planet, celebrations, cereal, chinese food, christopher walken, clear nights, cloudy nights, cold case files, cold popcorn, conan o'brien, cooking, country music, court tv, cream soda, cursing, dark comedy, deja vu, dim lighting, dr. hauschka, drawn out goodbyes, dreaming, dull pencils, earl grey, egypt, eighties music, elton john, endorphins, epiphanies, eroticism, etta james, falling in love, finding nemo, fine lines, first downs, first kisses, flip-flops, food, football, forensic files, forensic science, fried rice, fun dip sticks, game shows, garth brooks, getting butterflies, green bay packers, gum, h2o, handwritten letters, history, hot springs, infatuation, interactive pop-ups, irony, italian food, italian sodas, jeff buckley, jogging, kissing, late night conversations, laughs, law and order, legos, lion king, lips, litigation, magic, mayonnaise, monday night football, moxie, nerd ropes, neverending nights, new york accents, nick at nite, night people, night time, ninja turtles, non-stop flights, not-so-awkward-silence, nyc, orca, originality, patriotism, people watching, piano, plastic utensils, playing footsie, post cards, post-it-notes, postsecret, practicality, quality music, rain storms, randomness, randy couture, rationality, reading, reheated macaroni and cheese, risk, roughhousing, running through sprinklers, saved by the bell, seinfeld, sensuality, sing alongs, sleep, sleeping in, smiles that never end, spaghetti-o's, spring, stars, straws, string cheese, summer breezes, summer nights, T9, tank, tacos, tank tops, tea, the beach, the butterflies, the intangible, the moon, the non-smoking section, the ocean, the shade, the smell of rain, the temptations, the wonder years, the word forever, traveling, ufc, unsolved mysteries, venice, water falls, waves, word games, writing, your mom.

My Interests

toothpastefordinner.com, good food with great friends. culture. music. sleep. genuine smiles, the kind you don't even notice. forehead kisses. video game dates. waking up to "i love you"'s. guys who drive like grandmas. sleeping under the stars. playing footsie anytime, anywhere... no matter how old you are. I truly *enjoy* my family and I'm proud to say so. that whole grammar thing. yea, I like that.

the F word and monday night football, preferably simultaneously, make my heart smile :o)

I'd like to meet:

People worth my time. Zorro. Christopher Walken. Julius Caesar. Barack Obama. Rasputin, probably more so than anyone. Can we get cloning on the ball? I have serious questions. A clan of Nomads. Christopher Walken once more. I like people that ask a lot of questions, not because they're nosey but because they want to know. People who smile and mean it. Someone who can make me a believer... in anything really. God, aliens, you name it I'm open. People who don't let convenience make their decisions. Someone who understands that the little things shape the big picture. My only crush that's lasted more than two weeks, Fred Savage. Hell, anyone who can hold my attention for longer than two weeks. Someone who not only knows what grammar is and applies it , but who can kick my ass in a spelling bee. Talk tort liability and my heart will smile. People with depth. Cajolery. Moxie. Persistence, not to be confused with annoyance. You've got to be out of my league times 4. People that value honesty and believe that loyalty and devotion are of utmost importance. Charisma. Charm. Direction. Someone with straight up class. Guys over 6'1 because that's just the way it should be... but if you ask I'll tell you 5'11, because that's 2 inches less shallow. Someone who snores louder than my dog. People who like mayonnaise and use their turn signals like second nature. I like people who light up over little things. Nerds have a special place in my heart. A musician who takes requests. Someone notably protective, the kind of guy that locks the door behind him when he leaves. People with a dark sense of humor who keep me on my toes. Someone to share my treehouse with. A guy who knows all the words to country songs and boyz to men and isn't afraid to admit it. of My old friends first and foremost... Someone who writes just as much useless shit in their myspace, and the one person that actually read mine. Oh, someone taller and better looking.

The most important things are the hardest things to say. They are the things you get ashamed of, because words diminish them - words shrink things that seemed limitless when they were in your head to no more than living size when they're brought out. But, it's more than that, isn't it? The most important things lie too close to wherever your secret heart is buried, like landmarks to a treasure your enemies would love to steal away. And you may make revelations that cost you dearly only to have people look at you in a funny way, not understanding what you've said at all, or why you thought it was so important that you almost cried when you were saying it. That's the worst, I think. When the secret stays locked within not for the want of a teller but for the want of an understanding ear."

AND FOR THE LOVE OF GOD I DO NOT HOLLER

Music:

If it's good, i like it. Death Cab and Counting Crows are all I ever need. As far as I'm concerned Garth Brooks just might be God. Etta James, Righteous Brothers, Edwin McCain, Simon and Garfunkel, Sam Cooke, Randy Travis, Ray Charles, Louis Armstrong, Ryan Adams, Justin Timberlake, Alkaline Trio, Juice Newton, Bjork, James Blunt, The Police, The Decemberists, Sinéad O'Connor, Copeland, Damien Rice, Beethoven helps me sleep at night, Elton John, James Taylor, Regina Spektor, Vince Gill, Clint Black, Coldplay, everything. Ma$e makes my heart smile.

Movies:

I've a new found respect for japanese horror films.I could live on movie nights. I love just about everything, though I'm not huge on sci-fi or chick flicks. I love to laugh, not so much cry... there's only been one but just that one and I lost it. A good swordfight puts me right on the edge of my seat, I love drama, suspense, and I especially love watching things blow up... shawshank redemption, now that's a damn good movie.

Television:

the news. court tv. forensic files. law and order. the wonder years. CAGE FIGHTS. cheaters. LOST!

Books:

studies. history. law. psychology. books about a boy and his dog. The CIA and Cold War fascinate me.

Heroes:

my dad. my grandpa. oli north. the old joe gibbs. james randi. barack obama's "audacity of hope" speech made me cry, just don't tell anybody.
Jared Cameron Mort, for showing me what love is.
