Featuring Zack Lozier on trumpet, Rob Dewey on keyboards, Scotty Schultz on drums and Rich Casey on bass, this burning post-bop quartet strides in the spaces between traditional, straight-ahead jazz and stretched-out, free improvisation.Scotty is one of the most active drummers in town, currently performing with Chace Roberts and leading several other projects. Zack plays with Davina and the Vagabonds, Sam Kuusisto and the New Primatives, among others. Rich performs with a number of groups including the Javiar Trejo Trio. Rob is best known for his deep, searching improvisations performed with Done Been, Test Type Trio and Streets of Acid.The result is greater than the sum of its parts, with musical influences ranging from Lee Morgan to Zawinul and Sun Ra.Green plays every Monday at the renowned Artists' Quarter, located at 7th Place and St. Peter in downtown St. Paul.
