About Me

My name is Robert and I am attending UCSB. I am a senior political science major and hope to one day work for a political action or lobbyist group. Right now I am enjoying being young and reckless. I probably get into more trouble than I should, but none of it is too serious. I am a wannabe songwriter and guitarist so I am always looking for other musicians to share ideas. I enjoy going to bars and clubs and meeting the beautiful women that roam those places. I am always looking to have conversations about politics and philosophy and any other subject matter that I want to know more about. It is important to excersize the mind and I believe through interesting conversation one is able to do this. In all I am a happy person and am always looking forward to meeting new people.

My Interests

Politics, song writting, film, philosophy, writing and anything that does not require math.

I'd like to meet:

Socrates, just to have a conversation with him. Oh and The Beatles, well maybe not Ringo, but the rest of them definately. And ofcourse yo moma!

Music:

I listen to a wide variety of music. Favorite band has to be The Beatles, but anything that is good rock and roll is what I fancy. Led Zeppelin, Pink Floyd, the Rolling Stones, Cream and ofcourse Jimmi Hendrix. As far as modern music is concerned I love Radiohead and Beck. I am also really digging the Decemberists, the black keys, ozomatli and my morning jacket. On the latin side, The Buena Vista social club is great along with Perez Prado. Although I am pretty picky with my music I will give almost anything a chance. I also love jazz and classical music; Miles Davis, Aron Copeland, Bach, John Coltrane, Thelonious Monk and many more.

Movies:

I am a big Kubrick and Tarentino fan. 2001 space odyssey, pulp fiction, clockwork orange, Dr. Strangelove, Kill Bills etc. I also like I, Robot, Go, Big Fish, Natural Born Killers, Let it be, LA confidential, Chinatown. There really are too many to list.

Television:

Conan O'Brien, Family Guy, The Simpsons, Laker and Dodger games and most of the programming on PBS.

Books:

Right now I am swampped with readings for school, which I find interesting, but as far a recreational reading is concerned most books that deal with politics and current events.
