About Me
I was born and raised in Hilo and have lived here for most of my life. My father is Hawaiian, Chinese and Portuguese and my mother is Caucasian. My grandmother named me after her mother Sarah Kaluna, who was a stubborn little woman with a bad temper. My mother regrets the choice and reminded me of it everytime I was naughty growing up. When I asked my parents about my middle name, I was expecting some big elaborate or spiritual story about my birth like my siblings had. Then she told me that my name meant "a gift of love", because I wasn't exactly a planned pregnancy. I loved growing up in Hilo and always knew that this is where I would raise my children. I am extremely stubborn and although this is my biggest weakness, it can also be my greatest strength.
