All week I felt like I was living some crazy nightmare that I wanted to wake up from. It hit me like bricks: Sharon, you have cancer. The irony of it all: someone as lively as me, who already lives every day to its fullest, living it to its fullest now has new meaning. Although this will definitely be the biggest battle in my entire life, because I am FIGHTING FOR MY LIFE!!!, this will definitely be the biggest blessing, in disguise. From this, I am already seeing who genuinely loves and cares for me. My family and my inner circle are my biggest support and strength. Your spirits and contact lift me and light my muffled fire. Soon I will burn bright as that Vivacious Vegas Vixen you all know and love. I will get through this. As everyone tells me: BE STRONG. But Bev said it best as I cried, "That's not like you, Sharon. YOU ARE STRONG!" But one of my biggest motivators is what Alvie said, "Everyone's going to be watching you," And everyone will be and I'm going to fight not just for myself, but for everyone important in my life. As I watched the faces of family and true friends run through my thoughts and the goals and hopes that I have for my future--no. No way. NO WAY am I going anytime soon. No way can I give up. I will fight. Think about your life. Do you love it? Do you live for it? The choice is all yours. And I choose me.
