HAVE A COOL ONE WITH THE SCRUBBIES

About Me

D.Paul, Shakes and Darby have been playing music together since '85; first as DEMORALIZED YOUTH in Florence SC during the SEX MUTANTS/PATRIOT'S RETREAT heyday, then as usually drunken but always entertaining HONKY MOFOS, the equally intoxicated 49 REASONS and the hardcore punk UP-TIGHT. Eventually, 49 REASONS relocated to Columbia, SC, lookin' to hit the big time as well as a few new drinking establishments...Eventually, a bunch of bands sprung from this Flo-Town connection including THE SCRUBBIES and THE NEW JACK RUBIES which featured Jim Bob and Darby as it's rhythm section....After Jim and Darby's somewhat troubled, yet short, involvement in Birmingham Alabama's SMITHWICK MACHINE the SCRUBBIES resumed and may even shock the house and play a live gig on occasion! Currently, Jim is in ROCKEFELLER HORSECOLLAR; Darby is in SNAGGLEPUSS; Shakes is working on a project called THE GADGETS and D.PAUL is no doubt working out that next monster hit in between work in the disaster areas caused by Hurricane Katrina.
