About Me
My purpose as artist is both simple and multifold-- to be a prism of vision, an instrument of light. To activate and elevate consciousness through artistic insight. To inspire. To express and evoke love. To create beauty. To voyage into both the past and the future while being entirely present. To explore my spirituality and ideas about science, color, sound, harmonics, frequencies, dimensions… To remember sacred geometry. To dissect the patterns and symbols of collective memory. To align with the infinite intelligence of the source. To mesmerize and be mesmerized. To bring vision to form.
My ultimate intention is to promote peace and awareness and to enhance both culture and community through a synergy of art forms. I view art as a form of intuitive communication, blurring the boundaries between languages and symbols, and capable of healing and accelerating our global vibration. I embrace live performance painting as an opportunity to transmit to others the experience of watching visions bloom, as well as to collaborate with musicians and artists, and to create work saturated with both sound and the essence of the moment.
Evolving my style since childhood, my work varies from vibrant, abstract paintings to dramatic and delicate portraits. Each piece reflects the intimately connected nature of existence, individual experience and contemplation of the divine, and the intangible realms of the sublime. It is the constant melding of quest and discovery, memory and moment, intention and intuition...each work is a meditation, an offering, a song, a birthing, an orgasm, an artifact... a cascading waterfall of color and consciousness….a crystallized moment of inspiration…
"i live long moments in each
and every rectangle
searching for all the
elements of the story
watching the playful
spirits flit by
more than images,
eternal pulses and spirals

"Dreamcatcher" 2008, live with EOTO in San Diego.Sneak peak on current work in progress:
I want to become a master painter on the canvas of life.
I am infinitely expanding expression...
I am stardust, primordal dirt,
I'm a spot of paint on a brand new shirt,
I am lava, I am ice,
I am a cosmic creation device.
Perhaps I am a sweet sweet nectar, too...
or buzzed bee sipping on honey dew...
a sanguine sea, a rhymthic wave...
above all these, I am you.
(and if I were a boat, I would be a canoe.)
"There are painters who transform the sun to a yellow spot, but there are others who with the help of their art and their intelligence, transform a yellow spot into the sun." - Pablo Picasso

"If I could be the sun, I'd radiate like Africa and smile upon the world Intergalactic love laughter and If I were the rains, I'd wash away the whole world's pain and bring the gift of cool like ice cream trucks on sunny days and
If I was the earth I'd be like mountains bountiful, and if I were the sky so high, I'd be like wind invincible and
If I could be a seed, I would give birth to redwood trees and If I were the trees, I'd generate the freshest air to breathe in...
"Synergism," 2006, acrylic
If I could be the leaves, then like jade I would stay evergreen and spread my limbs out wide and pull love so close to me and If I could the roots, I would dig deep like ancestry and If were the fruits, you'd make the sweetest cherry pie from me and If I could be the night, my moon replace all electric lights and magic music would transmit from outer space on satellites. If I myself could be the ocean, you would feel emotion all the time and
If I were the words, then everything that everybody said would rhyme...."
"Prismatic Paradigm," 2007, acrylic
Live painting with EOTO, 2007
"We are all here for a reason on a particular path. You don't need a curriculum to know that you are part of the math. My rhythmatic regimen navigates melodic notes for your soul and your mental, That's why I'm instrumental. Vibration is what I'm into. Determination, Dedication, Motivation, I'm talking to you, my many inspirations. If I were of the highest cliff, on the highest riff, and you slipped down the side and clinched on to your life in my grip, I would never, ever let you down. And when these words are found, let it be known that God's penmanship has been signed with a language called L O V E...That's why my breath is felt by the deaf, and why my words are heard and confined to the ears of the blind. I too, dream in color and in rhyme. So I guess I'm one of a kind in a full house. Cuz whenever I open my heart, my soul, or my mouth, a touch of God reigns out." ~Blackalicious
"Grace," 2006, acrylic
"It was one of those days when it's a minute away from snowing and there's this electricity in the air, you can almost hear it. And this bag was, like, dancing with me. Like a little kid begging me to play with it. For fifteen minutes. And that's the day I knew there was this entire life behind things, and... this incredibly benevolent force, that wanted me to know there was no reason to be afraid, ever. Video's a poor excuse, I know. But it helps me remember... and I need to remember... Sometimes there's so much beauty in the world I feel like I can't take it, like my heart's going to cave in." ~American Beauty
"Birthing of Sound," 2006, acrylic
"There are moments in our lives, there are moments in a day, when we seem to see beyond the usual - become clairvoyant. We reach then into reality. Such are the moments of our greatest happiness. Such are the moments of our greatest wisdom. It is in the nature of all people to have these experiences; but in our time and under the conditions of our lives, it is only a rare few who are able to continue in the experience and find expression for it.
At such times there is a song going on within us, a song to which we listen. It fills us with surprise. We marvel at it. We wouild continue to hear it. But few are capable of holding themselves in the state of listening to their own song. Intellectuality steps in and as the song within us is of the utmost sensitiveness, it retires in the presence of the cold, material intellect. It is aristocratic and will not associate itself with the commonplace - and we fall back and become our ordinary selves.
Yet we live in the memory of these songs which in moments of intellectual inadvertence have been possible to us. They are the pinnacles of our experience and it is the deisre to express these intimate sensations, this song from within, which motivates the masters of all art." -Robert Henri
