Mark

Louis, I think this is the beginning of a beautiful Mark.

My Interests

I'd like to meet:

My friends who already subscribe to this garbage.

Music:

Air, Andrew Bird, Arcade Fire, Architecture in Helsinki, Arctic Monkeys, Band of Horses, Bloc Party, Bob Dylan, Brazilian Girls, Brendan Benson, Bright Eyes, Broken Social Scene, Calexico, Camera Obscura, Cat Power, Clap Your Hands Say Yeah, Danger Doom, Death Cab for Cutie, Devandra Banhart, Elliott Smith, Feist, Fiery Furnaces, Flaming Lips, The Go! Team, Great Lake Swimmers, Hot Hot Heat, Iron and Wine, Jeff Buckley, Jenny Lewis, John Prine, Johnny Cash, M. Ward, m83, The Magic Numbers, Magnolia Electric Co., Modest Mouse, Moviola, My Morning Jacket, Nada Surf, Neutral Milk Hotel, Okkervil River, Otis Redding, Pinback, Pixies, The Postal Service, Prince, Radiohead, Rouge Wave, Ryan Adams, The Shins, Sleater-Kinney, Songs:Ohia, Stars, The Strokes, Sufjan Stevens, Thievery Corporation, Troubled Hubble, Van Morrison, White Stripes, Wolf Parade, Yonder Mountain String Band, Zero 7.I got tired so it's not nearly complete, but at least it's in alphabetical order.

Movies:

All the Real Girls, Band of Brothers-I'm counting this as a movie, Donnie Darko, Motorcycle Diaries, High Fidelity, Old School, The Beast. That's enough for now.

Television:

Arrested Developement. Everything else is in another category. Aqua Teen Hunger Force, Family Guy, and yes, I watch the OC every week. Deal with it.

Books:

Right now: Killing Yourself to Live by Chuck Klosterman, as well as Sex, Drugs, and Cocoa Puffs by the same author. I will always love A Supposedly Fun Thing I'll Never Do Again by David Foster Wallace, as well as Infinite Jest. (Now I must unfortunately add RIP DFW(and if you haven't yet, you should walk out the door right now and go get A Supposedly Fun Thing I'll Never Do Again and read it)) Sirens of Titan by Vonnegut. The Master and Margarita by Mikhail Bulgakov. And Confederacy of Dunces by John Kennedy Toole (Ken I think you have this. You need to finish it, I know you can read brotha). Fear and Loathing in Las Vegas by Hunter S. Thompson (I think Carl might still have my copy), And the Rum Diary as well. The Fear and Loathing Letters is excellent, but a bitch to get through unless you have a somewhat unhealthy obsession with Mr. Thompson. This is about a balanced a list as I can come up with in a few minutes.

Heroes:

I would say Hunter S. Thompson, but the bastard killed himself.... Seriously, now I also have to add David Foster Wallace to this list, I'm afraid to update my books section with a new author for fear they may also decide to off themselves. Watch out George Saunders.
