Sex & Therapy

Sex & Therapy began as a solo-acoustic project by Nik Vischschraper, but has evolved into a 4-piece alternative indie rock band. Hailing out of London, Ontario, S&T has been consistently improving their musical and song-writing capabilities. The band has quickly, but not-so-quietly, risen out of London's dark and damp underground rock scene and into the light of the areas mainstream music venues and bar scene.
As part of the S&T project, guitarist Evan Gervais and percussionist Stephen Swift help accompany Nik's music. Through adding in acoustic support, electric leads, or back-up harmonies and vocals, Evan adds a further dimension to S&T's already unique sound. Stephen lays down the beats which help bring the music alive. The next addition to the band, Myke Armstrong completed S&T's rhythm section with strong, solid bass riffs. However, differences between members led to the departure of Myke from the band, who has introduced Chris Fagan on bass most recently.
In August of 2007, Nik experienced a horrible accident which resulted in the loss of his left index finger. For the time being, he has assumed the revised position of Lead Vocals, with Evan increasing his responsibilities as lead guitarist. The future may see Nik playing the guitar again, however his role as rhythm guitarist may be limited to the studio.
The band prides itself on not falling into one particular genre, and enjoys the creativity and originality that is put forth in their music. Sex & Therapy is young and talented, with a growing fan base within London and surrounding area. The band has worked through its issues and adversity and continues to develop as musicians and bandmates.
Folks, we all need a little Sex & Therapy.
