Percussionist/bandleader/composer Johnny Blas is a New York native who has performed and recorded in the world of Jazz and Latin music for over 25 years. Johnny is one of the few conga players on the West Coast who leads his own band. His diverse experience has enabled him to equally display his exceptional talents, energy and profound versatility, by leading a Latin Jazz Band. His mastery of music allows him the ability to easily adapt and cover a broad spectrum. Johnny’s rich fresh sound captivates his audience like no other. Johnny has 5 Latin Jazz CD recordings out under the Cubop Label. The recordings showcase a majority of his own original arrangements.His music is currently played in the Top 10 U.S. radio markets and throughout Europe.
