Chichino

'Bringing the Groove back!'......
Chichino is the name of the Leeds based band who create and present their contagious fusion of funk and Pop with an enthusiasm which is calculated to push your get-up-and-dance button.
The musical references and the bands influences are impeccable, in fact some of the best in the business including: Jamiroquai, The Brand New Heavies, Stevie Wonder and Prince to name a few.
Narelle Jett, whose stylish presence, powerful voice and elegant keyboard skills front the band, recites the names of Pop, Soul and Funk legends with the reverence they deserve, to nods and smiles of agreement from her three fellow band members, drummer Andy Siron, bassist John Fowles and guitarist Rob Bloom.
Chichino are regulars on the festival circuit and have played alongside a variety of acts including, chart toppers The View, 80’s soul star Jaki Graham and jazz heavyweights Chris Barber and Claire Teal. In 2008 the band have been billed alongside the likes of Rose Royce, Basshunter, Tony Hadley, Cerys Matthews, Richard Hawley, Corrine Bailey Rae and The Sugababes.
Chichino have also hosted their own radio shows previously. "Radio Chichino" was broadcast daily in May on Leeds Eleven FM. The shows featured the music that influenced Chichino, retro Leeds sounds, Leeds funk & soul music and up-and-coming bands from the South Leeds area.
Recently the band recorded a collaboration with Right Said Fred on a fabulously funky new version of their classic top 5 UK hit 'Don't Talk Just Kiss' and they are currently back in the studio working hard on tracks for their debut album which is scheduled for release in late 2009.
Chichino have also worked with a number of companies on launch events and parties. These include:
