I go under the name of Audiophiliac for the original compositional work I do with other vocalists. I am a drummer who writes music in a dance/pop/club style and I work with vocalists to add texture to my music. I don't write words or melodies...all work is done in a partnership with the singers given complete artistic freedom.
I got my first pair of drumsticks at 12 and acquired my first drum kit at 14.. I started playing bass at 16. Guitar and keyboards followed later... I started working with MIDI technology in 1982 with application towards drumming and composition. I knew when I saw my first drum machine in the recording studio that if drummers didn't embrace the technology, they'd be out of work!!I moved to the UK in 1988 to further my career in music. (Canada is a big place with a small population and it's almost impossible to make a living playing original music). At the time, I was trying to hook up with DJ's and MC's but no one was interested...6 months after I moved to the UK, the Stereo MC's go large!!! Talk about prophetic...lol
I've been using Cubase since 1994 (Atari, PC and Mac) and FL Studio since v.2. I'm also a power user of Hammerhead, Adobe Audition, Recycle and Acid I run a small PC based recording studio set-up presently based at Southwark Bridge Road where I can compose and record both for myself and others.
I am presently in the market for a new project, possibly live drum 'n bass/breakbeat....but I'm open for offers if I enjoy the music! PUT YOUR BIO SECTION HERE! Changes may take up to 2 mins to show on your profile
