"You will make something great of yourself" These were the words spoken to Alen (A.K.A: Naiso) on his 16th birthday, when he received his first guitar from his grandfather. That was also the last time he saw his grandfather. It was that moment, Alen had a glimpse into his successful future in music. This set him on a path of eager inspiration, as he bought book after book, teaching himself how to play. Nothing brought him more joy, than learning a new song, and he even started up his own teenaged-garage-band with a couple of his friends.Naiso first started on his musical path when he was 5 years old. He participated in the Royal Conservatory for 7 years, up until the age of 12. He joined his High School Band where he learned to play such instuments as the drums, clarinet, trumpet, baritone and bassoon. Shortly thereafter, at the age of 18, he lost his direction for a few years, he was trying to establish a goal for a career path, going back and forth between different trades, such as welding. He never settled for anything that he was unhappy doing. Meanwhile, he dabbled in music-making in his spare time, using programs like "Mixman Studio Pro" and "Fruity Loops." He received a MIDI keyboard (Alesis Photon X-25) from his wife for christmas one year, which enabled him to use different programs to their full potential. Currently he uses a M-audio Axiom 61 and Roland MC-808. He progressed from using programs like "Cubase," "Cakewalk Sonar," "Native Instruments," and then the program he uses most often today, "Ableton 6.0" All the while, he was teaching himself different techniques and , even now, gaining skills daily. The name "Naiso" is inspired by the word "ocean" backwards. The ocean is large, the water in the ocean is unstoppable, and people everywhere want to hear the sound of the ocean. Just like the ocean, Naiso thrives to make it big, to be unstoppable, and for his music to be something people all over the world want to hear.
Music is his Passion.
He is Naiso.
He is Unstoppable!"I love how music affects people. You can tap into people's hearts and minds, and evoke emotions, making them smile, or even cry. To me, that's what it is all about." -Naiso
