About Me

My name is Blitz T. Seahawk. I was born high atop MT. Rainier over looking the beautiful state of Washington. I am the mascot for the Seattle Seahawks NFL football team. I live in my new nest on top of the Seahawks Stadium right above the field where the Seahawks play. I enjoy reading, playing football, exercising, dancing with the Sea Gals and swooping down on NFL quarterbacks.Growing up in Washington I always watched the Seahawks play football. It has always been my dream to be their mascot. When I was a young bird in third grade at Fine Feathers Elementary School, I told my friends about my dream. All of the other birds just laughed and said, "Blitz, you could never be an NFL mascot! Your beak is too big, and you can't run or dance with those skinny little bird legs!" I would fly home with tears running down my beak, and tell Mama Blue Bird about the other birds making fun of me. Mamma Blue Bird sat me down one day and told me about goals. Mamma Blue Bird said, "Young Blitz you can do anything that you set your mind to. Set your goal, then study and work hard. Start with small goals that will help you reach your big goal." From that day on, I set small goals to become the mascot for the Seattle Seahawks. more...Every day after school I flew home and read. After my homework was done, I would exercise and practice to be the best mascot I could be. No one at school ever saw me without a book under one wing and a football under the other. I did not succeed at everything that I tried but I did not give up. I knew to be in the NFL I needed to have a college education so I studied hard and set small goals along the way to help me reach my big goal. After years of hard work, I went to Wing State University (WSU). My bird brain and skinny legs developed in those years, and I became the WSU mascot! For four years I was the best WSU mascot I could be. Then my dream came true. The Seahawks saw me and asked me to be their mascot after I graduated.I finally reached my goal. I learned that if I study and try my hardest, good things will happen. Setting goals as a young hawk was the first step towards making my dreams come true. Now I challenge you to do the same. Close your eyes and picture the person you want to be; the person you CAN be in one year, two years, five years, and ten years. What needs to happen for those dreams to come true? Write the steps down to achieve your goals and share them with your teacher, your parents and your friends and they will help you reach your goals and achieve your dreams. Don't forget to help those around you achieve their goals too.Keep your beak up and SOAR! Blitz
