Last night Laura was announced as the winner in the 17th Annual Los Angeles Music Awards for the SECOND year in a row! Laura won this year with the song "Sticks and Stones" which she co-wrote with Page Jackson and Beau Hendrich.

Laura was born in Fairfax, Virginia and raised on 12 acres in San Diego, California. She moved to Los Angeles and began her career in acting, modeling, radio and hosting work. Laura has credits as a Co-Star on several Television shows including Married With Children, Silk Stalkings, The Young and the Restless, Renegade and Starred in numerous Feature Films. Laura also started working with HBO/Cinemax and had her own series that she Starred in for two seasons. The work just kept coming her way, so she expanded her career over the next few years with Hosting shows from Infomercials to Celebrity Gold Tournaments to Fox Sports Shows and also Hosting three shows for Playboy Television for over 6 years. Radio was next on the list of achievements for her, she landed her own radio show on the number one station in the number two market in the United States. KLSX the FM Talk Station picked up the Laura & Gretchen UNCUT show for 3 years, a show Laura herself created with her partner Gretchen Massey.In 2004 Laura performed with Bret Michael's at the KZLA Country Bash in Los Angeles and she organized the LA Round-up, where she would perform monthly at BB Kings, Universal City Walk along with 3 other country artists. Laura organized the night so that local bands had a venue to play their original music.
Laura recently bought a home in Nashville, TN in order to spend more time working on her music. She recorded her first single titled Where do you go and beautiful ballad written by 2 time Grammy nominated writer, Jan Buckingham.
In late November 2005 she will be recording Cross that Line, Sticks and Stones, Get your Cowboy on, which she co-wrote with Beau Hendrich and Page Jackson. She will also record 2 original songs, Little Breakdowns written by Jeffrey Steele, and The Real You written by Gary Hannon (whose Tequila Makes Her Clothes Fall Off went .. 1 on the charts in December 2005)
Laura is being produced by Nick Brophy, who has worked with Phil Vassar, Jennifer Hanson, The Rolling Stones and wrote and produced 2 songs on Hootie & the Blowfishs new album, including the single from the album Get You Out Of My Mind.
