Este personaje, junto con su banda llamada The Clash, revolucionó la manera de hacer el punk de la década de los 70's y 80's. Sin duda alguna, Joe Strummer, co-fundador de la banda, hizo que el punk y la manera de expresarlo tomara un curso distinto. Letras más profundas y de mayor contenido, música que emprende un nuevo rumbo y con sonidos diferentes, hicieron la diferencia. Es de apreciarse todo lo que hizo durante sus años más productivos. Desde toda la discografÃa de The Clash, con su obra maestra "London Calling" (1979), los años después de The Clash produciendo música para varias pelÃculas y su ultimo trabajo con The Mescaleros. Strummer falleció de 50 años el 22 de diciembre del 2002 a causa de una falla cardÃaca congénita no diagnosticada. Una pena para todos sus FANS en los que me incluyo.El dÃa de hoy se recuerda a Joe Strummer, como el vocalista y lÃder de una de las bandas más grandes de la historia del Rock, una banda que todos conocemos y recordamos.
