"Welcome to my world", so the title of the demo-CD of the Krefeld-based seven-member act.Of course "my world" is a synonym for the stylistic self-willed art of crikey's sphere-metal.A rapid race, sometimes like downhill-skiing through mazes of the human soul.Power-, Thrash- and Heavy-Metal guitar-riffs gather with whipping drums,enforced by a pounding bass and spiced with subliminal keyboards...suddenly your are deep inside this world.You start to hear voices, struggling for your mind.And in the midst of this "chaos of feelings" raises the sound of the devil's violin: "Welcome......."CRIKEY was formed in 2003 by Rob Balner and Chris Mieves.After creating a framework of first ideas and songs they found the necessary musicians very quickly.All from their circle of friends and other local bands. Shortly after producing the demo-CDthe band entered several stages like the well-known Zeche Carl, Dong Open-Air and a lot more.Also Crikey won the newcomer contest of "ruhrmetal.com" in January 2006.A few month later the production of the first full-length album started, which wascompletely finished in may 2007.Now the band prepares for the release of "Future of the loss" as also for club-gigs and festivals.
