About Me

Almost every band I've met says, "We don't want to put a label on our music, but we're..." and well - we are no different. So while I may tell you we are a 3 piece power folk rock band, it by no means says everything about our music.
We're fronted by a madman on an acoustic guitar, Matt Wildridge. Matt's fresh experiment of mixing electric and acoustic sound is actually just a simple volume pedal. When running the acoustic guitar through a P.A. and using a volume pedal through an amp the guitar suddenly gets a much hotter sound that resembles an electric guitar. This unique mixture of acoustic and electric guitar sound with the heavy and tight combination of drums and bass is the core of our sound.
But it has also gotten us in a little bit of trouble...in fact - the first time we played we had the cops called on us within 15 minutes. It didn't help that we were playing outside in a neighborhood - but in case it isn't obvious: we're loud.
If you come out to see us you'll hear traces of bluegrass and country music, but you won't see us wearing cowboy hats. We're heavier than your average rock band, but I don't think anyone would call us punk rockers.
If you'd like to book us - we would like to play!!

P.S.: The noise ordinance in Bloomington is a J-O-K-E!!!

A citizen of the United States
of America with a pattern of
symptoms that characterize
a particular social condition On May 10th we started the recording process for our first album. We do not have a date on when it will be released, but because most of the material is pretty familiar to us and because we have the opportunity to work with a fantastic engineer we don't anticipate it taking too long.

The album titled, "Putting Together the Pieces" is set to be around 15 tracks, and will be released digitally, and on vinyl. We appreciate all of your support, and will continue to play live shows as often as possible!

The album was recorded at Farm Fresh Studio's here in Bloomington Indiana, and has a unique sound that comes from the fact that it is an old church.

Here are some notes from our first weekend in the studio:

- The drums were recorded in the "big room" & they sound MASSIVE (in a good way) on the recordings.

- Jake compared our overall sound by stating we have a BIG SOUND like Led Zepplin, and The Who.

- A BIG THANKS to Steven P. for coming out to hang with us during recording. His pressence (and photography, and video taping) was very helpful in many ways. P.S. Thanks for the old school VHS PORN cam!

- We're under the impression that we got about 2 weeks worth of recording done in 2 days. This is probably a give or take depending on who is recording and what they are recording, but consider how much it costs...that's always nice to hear.

- Nothing from the album will be released until it is finished 100% - however we did do a couple of songs that may not end up on the album, and thus might be released so you can hear the quality of the recordings.

- If you haven't heard of the current argument between engineers about the state of mastering let me just tell you that basically there is a cause for concern about the levels or songs being mastered today (ie: quiet parts are as loud as loud parts, and there is no true dynamics in songs anymore) - which leads me to my next point...

- We do not plan to follow this 20 year trend.

-Album is expected to be done...?
Sounds Like: A unique blend of music that uses an experimental mixture of a heavy rhythm section, an electric/acoustic guitar, and lyrics that are a powerful and positive energy.
