Everything began in 1997 in the discothek "Da Jam" in Kassel, where CASHES
CLAY was alowed to get to the record players every now and then. After the
first "scratch" tryes and inspired from the legendary New Yorker DJ
"SPINBAD" it was sure, that he had the tools for this. From there on, he
daily practiced on his record players, because he couldnt think of anything
else anymore.Then in 1999 the many practice lessons finally payed of. For his effort, him
and his partner DJ Slim Gee got awarded with the ..1 spot of the "CH Fresh
99 Team Battle" in Rosbach (Switzerland). The name CASHES CLAY was born.
But not enough of that, more triumphes followed, regional and across
regional borders like for example: "Battle of DJs 2000 Champions" of the
probably best known radiostation in Germany, "JAM FM" in Berlin. After that
he was invited to do his thing, life at the radio station.In the year 2000 CASHES CLAY and DJ Slim Gee teamed up. In 2001 DJ Cashes
Clay and DJ Slim Gee got awarded with a 1st and 3rd spot for their
Mixing-Sets on another 2 day competition near Stuttgart. In the same year,
DJ Cashes Clay and DJ Slim Gee created their own radio station (Tru-Fam
FM). With ca. 12.000 listenern this is the most wanted programm within 70 km
around the Göttingen area.After so much hard work, a couple of clubs caught their attention. One of
those clubs was the "Outpost" (with 2.500 People per night, this was one of
the biggest discothekes in Germany), that contracted DJ Cashes Clay and DJ Slim Gee as resident DJs. After 2 years, the duo switched to the Glashaus-
Center in Worbis (3x at the top 10 of the german discothekes) where they
still work occasionaly. Because if their bookings all over Germany, there is
not much time left to do their resident job.Because of their good reputation as PARTY DJs, many event managers caught
their attention and booked them threw all Germany for big, Black Music
events. They were also support and opening DJs of many big stars, like for example:KELLY ROWLAND-Destynis Child, SHAWN DESSMAN ("Sexy" from the movie "Honey"), RMX CREW feat. AMBUSH (with
their Nr. 1 hit - Turn me on Fresh), DJ KOOL (the probably most known DJ
from the US with his club hit "Let me clear my throat"), FATMAN SCOOP from
the most known radio station in New York city, HOT 97 and from AV8 records,MARIO WINANS- Bad Boy Ent., AKON-Locked up,
TROOPER DA DON, (Hit single Kimnotyze feat. LilKim), Montel Jordan (Hit
single - This is how we do it), MC LYTE with their Nr. 1 hit "keep on keepin
on", MASTER ACE (Born to roll), DARNELL with his hit "WHOA", KRS ONE the old
school pionier, Coolio known through his world wide Nr. 1 hit "Gangstas
Paradise", PMD from the most known Hip Hop duo EPMD ("Da Joint"), BLACK
IVORY with their single "Im good" from the movie "Honey", BABY BASH known
through his club hit "Sugar, Sugar",................... TO BE
CONTINUED!!!!!!!In 2002 DJ Cashes Clay had gotten to know his MC till today. DJ Cashes Clay
and MC E-V-L created the DJ Team "SPINMASTERS". The original american E-V-L
is the in musicbusiness for more then 10 years already. After lots of hard
work, the lable "ZULU KING RECORDS" from Darmstadt and SONY MUSIK Germany,
signed him. In 2004 him and his partner "MC Bee released the album "Larger
than life". The first maxi release "Papichulo" became a real club hit. E-V-L
is in the studio again and diligent produces his solo album, that will be
released soon.
