Prefekt

Prefekt hails from Santa Cruz, CA on the northside of the Monterey Bay, A small town known for its surfers and hippies, Prefekt made his way into the music scene as a teenager while playing bass for the local indie-rock band "Hwy One", after moving to Georgia to pursue a production deal with Hwy One the band split up only a year later and Prefekt began to travel around the southern states doing volunteer work and landed in New Orleans post-hurricane katrina where he ended up involved in the fulltime relief effort. After LA prefekt moved back to california in search of a new direction and began to write record and produce music with hip hop crew curbside treaty and eventually Shadow of the Locust founded by DiRT. Since then prefekt has been working on his first full length debut and has dropped several compilations and mixtapes as well as battled extensively on the underground circuit, even holding the championship spot in Santa Cruz for a while. ..
