About Me

I live in Seattle, I hail from Michigan. I currently have a pretty rad internship at Chroma Sound (www.chromasound.net). They let me play with really nice mics and mess around on their Trident mixing console, and I get to meet really cool people. They also have a ton of crazy vintage keyboards for use, and during sound tests I'm not afraid of showing of my mad chopstick skillz (because I don't actually PLAY keys...)I love hearing the different ways people describe music when it is being created, you can learn a lot about the person.When I get lost in the city I still use the Space Needle as a reference point so I can make it home for dinner.

Band Members: I play bass with an R&B/Soul band called "Eclectic Soul", but it's still pretty early in the game in terms of the writing process. We have a slew of covers that's getting us going. Influences: I really dig that lo-fi/collective sound with lots of instruments, string parts/sections, a 16th on the hats is a nice touch here and there, multiple song writers contributing to the writing process... BSS, Arcade Fire, Anathallo, Regina Spektor, Stars, Band of Horses, Denison Witmer, Matt Pond PA, Chuck Berry, Hail Social, Modest Mouse, Deathcab, Radiohead, Postal Service, Nirvana, Weezer, Wolf Parade, The Notwist, The Dears, Cursive. And a lot of the artists here at Chroma, I love watching how bands interact.
