About Me
I gig with THREE groups of players, one in Texas and the others in Oklahoma. Ro-Ro and Company is my groups name when I go out to play. When I am in Texas I usually play with Jimmy Boggs, Lead Guitar and Vocals, Guitar player for the legendary Sonny Throckmorton. Jimmy has played with most all of the "BIGGYS". Paul Carr Bass, Lead Guitar and Vocals. Paul is a Guitar for hire "SUPER SIDEMAN", with "BIG EARS". You can't fool him. He also writes good songs, some are a little "Twisted'. Bill Green is the Drummer. "Crazy Bill" as I call him. One of the most solid, tasteful drummers that you will EVER hear. The first Oklahoma group consists of Mark Albertson on Lead Guitar and Vocals. Mark plays any style of music and Sings his ass off. Marks playing makes me want to sell my guitars. Tim Martin, "The Jerk", plays Bass and does Vocals. I first hired Tim in the early 80's when he didn't know Jack or ----. He now is a Monster player. Last but not least by any means, David McKnight, "Animal", is the Drummer. David writes BEAUTIFUL MUSIC. DAVID ALSO SINGS THE BLUES LIKE IT IS SURPOSED TO BE SUNG!!! He has had many songs Recored by artists like, Coco Montoya, Gary P Nunn, Debbie Davies, and more. We do a lot of David's original songs when we gig. The last group of guys that I play with is with the World known Johnny Shackleford Group. We play every second Saturday in Regan, Oklahoma. Johnny plays Bass and Sings. When you see Johnny you think of Mel Tillis. Johnny is full of it----Comedy!! A very funny guy. Gary Walker, the good looking Singer of the bunch, writes Great songs and Sings Great too. Darryl Carter, plays Guitar, Mandolin and Sings. Our Drummer David Allen, "Banker Boy", rounds out the group. I play Lead Guitar , Sing and do Blonde jokes about my Wife, who isn't blonde. There you have it. That's all for now.
