Pawnshops For Olivia coming in June

About Me

Rodney Smith is a singer/songwriter that hails from Eastern Iowa and has been part of the Iowa Music Scene since 1980. For the past twenty five years led a band called Route 66 before changing the name of the band to The Townedgers to avoid confusion with a swing country band at around 1993. Though the TEs are not well known in the area (only a handful of shows were ever played), their albums have been well regarded including 1991's Diamonds In The Skies, 1993 Modern Problems In Reflected Living and most recently, The Highway Home released last year. Currently, Smith is finishing up his latest album and has a date release set for June 08.Smith also played in various bands around Eastern Iowa, beginning with Open Highway in 1981 to 1983 and later renamed Paraphernalia and later Tyrus to avoid confusion with a jazz band of the former name although on The Paraphernalia Years Best Of, he reverted back to that name since it sounded better.
