Well, I have lots of interests; unfortunately most of them land me squarely in the "nerd" catagory. I love music and movies and enjoy revisiting old favorites on a regular basis. I make my living with literature and secretly hope to somehow make it with writing though life and laziness have a nasty way of butting in. I really enjoy cooking when I have the time and someone around to eat the finished product. Baseball has been a vital part of my life for as long as I can remember; I still love my Cardinals as much now as I did when I cried myself to sleep when they lost the World Series in '87. Though you wouldn't know it by looking at my pictures, I get a lot of satisfaction out of the time I spend in the gym and try to get in at least 4-5 a week to work off the work-week stress. I have plenty more geeky interests but I think I'll stop before I dig myself too deep a hole...
I love meeting all kinds of people, one can never have too many friends, and I like "re-meeting" people I haven't heard from in a while. I think that's a pretty safe answer to an obviously loaded question... :)
Coheed and Cambria, The Nadas, Towncrier, Breaking Benjamin, Dead Poetic, Counting Crows, Alkaline Trio, Chevelle, Stavesacre, Matt Nathanson, Motion City Soundtrack, Foo Fighters, and about a hundred other bands...
American Beauty, Braveheart, The Boondock Saints, Saving Private Ryan, Wedding Crashers, Cinderella Man, Donnie Darko, Punch Drunk Love, Oldboy, Spanglish, Lost in Translation, The Weatherman, Adaptation, 25th Hour, It's A Wonderful Life.... I could go on and on here.
SportsCenter, Cardinals Baseball, Food Network
For Whom The Bell Tolls, The Catcher In The Rye, To Kill A Mockingbird, The Nick Adams Stories, The Count of Monte Cristo, The Watchmen, One Flew Over the Cuckoo's Nest...pretty much 20th century American Lit. with some French Lit thrown in. I do find time for some guilty pleasures (George R.R. Martin, Stephen King, etc.)
