Influences:
Our influences include many musicians, artists, and political leaders. We have many philosophies to discuss both through our music and lyrics. Some are shallow subjects like
sex and drugs. Others are a little heavier like "hyper-evolution" and metaphysical spirituality. Either way there are some universal influences that we all share. They include the basic concepts of peace and love. Stevie Wonder, Bob Marley, and Trey Anastasio are at the forefront of these ideas. Others include the corruption of our society noted by artists like Tool, System of a Down, and Rage Against The Machine. And then there is the simplest
and most important concept in life: to enjoy it!!!!!! The classical pieces that first became secular for pleasure and not for worship. The strange and inventive sexual nature of Frank Zappa. And don't forget about the "I don't give a shit" attittude of so many punk rockers and classic rock artists that are just out to have a good time. Lastly, in its own way the electronica and dance/rave scene that reflects so precisely the parallel between the ancient, tribal poetry and trance-like rhythms of sufi mystics and the MC's, ravers, junglists, DJ's and musicians that continue this healing process today. If you don't see the relationship there, just go to any little club with a dj, an mc, and some breakdancers and then read all about a whirling dervish and poet named Rumi from the 11th or 12th century and you'll see what I mean!!!!!!
