I'm not sure exactly how to describe ones self! Many of us have an idea about who we are, but outside forces and life's issues can change a person in a matter of a week or day for that matter. Like I said we all have an idea of who we are or who we would like to become, but in reality I'm probably no different that your average person walking down the street.
I have recently learned that as human beings we all have the same desire as any other person..that desire is to find happiness and to have less suffering in our life's. I'm slowly becoming that person who sees good in everyone and everything. To be compassionate in every way possible and to really realise that everything in life is impermanate. Unfortunatly and fortunatly I think, feel, and react based on my emotions. It's a true Aquarius thing to do.
I'll be honest by saying I'm a very complicated person. Life experiences, good and bad, have created this in me. I will never be simple and I except that. Who I am...Or as myspace puts it,"about me" is this....
I know that I'm good hearted, genuine, kind, loving, giving, excepting, emotional, and honest. But I also know I'm stubborn, leary, a bit shy at first, a horrible speller, bad at staying in touch, and once again pretty freakin complicated...even for myself at times! All the things I've seen in my life or have been through has made me who I am as it has made you who you are. I will never regret a second though and I will never again try to change for somebody or something.
I think the beauty of it all is that we are all so different. Sure we can all find someone who has some of the same ideas we do, but we all feel differently, react differently, understand and see things differently. There is no real law that says one person's ideas are more right than another's. Life would be completly boring if we were all the same. We do all stem from that common ground of trying to find happiness through our life and trying to avoid the suffering...that still connects us as living breathing things.
So describing myself or who I am I find hard. I have an idea, but eventually I will change and no one really knows who someone really is. Thats the fun of meeting someone in general. So now that I sound like a freakin preacher I guess I'll end with this...
I don't think it's possible to really know yourself completly, but you have an entire life to make yourself be that kind of person you would like to be. For me - I'm definatly not there yet, but for once in my life I'm putting forth the effort to become that ideal person I hope to be and no other person, action, or life's curve balls will ever make me lose sight of that again :)12-19-06
