I'm an archaeologist currently working for the Florida Public Archaeology Network. I graduated from UCF with a B.S. in Anthropology with Honors in the Major and minors in both North American Indian Studies and Sociology. Most of my undergraduate research was focused upon Native American culture, history, and prehistory, especially within Florida and the rest of the Southeast. I wrote my honors thesis on the methods employed by both Native Americans and Africans/African-Americans in Florida to resist the oppression forced upon them by the Europeans in "conquering" the Americas. I am beginning the Masters in Anthropology (Archaeology and Human Adaptation track) at UCF this fall, where I will continue researching the same topic. Along with being a complete nerd, I am also a metal guitarist for the death/black metal outfit, Aruspex. Check us out at www.myspace.com/aruspex or www.altarofaruspex.com. Some of my past musical endeavors include Equinox (guitar & keyboards), Serpent Son (guitar), Mindscar (keyboards), and Incursus (guitar & keyboards).
