This is my great-grandmother, Dearie. She died when I was a little girl. My dad used to go to her house every weekend because she took such pride in him and his creations. He often tells me how eloquent, kind-hearted, and witty she was. My memories of her are very vague, but I do remember how she loved telling me stories about when my father was little. I remember being thrilled to hear how he got into trouble like I did and just wallowing in the luxury of her stories. When she spoke, the rest of the world quieted to a whisper.

Les Miserables is my all time favorite book. Love the vampire and witch series by Anne Rice as well as the Harry Potter books. I'm currently listening to Xenocide from the Ender's Game series (which is excellent) on audio CD.
My mother is amazing. Without her, I'd be flat on my face.
