About Me
Todd is what some might call a singer/songwriter/guitar player. One can't help but notice that he's recorded 45s and cds, which several great record labels (including Medium Cool/Twin Tone and the legendary The Bus Stop Label) were kind enough to release.DID YOU KNOW: He had a band called The Leatherwoods that released a 45 and a cd (co-produced by Peter Jesperson and Paul Westerberg, who co-wrote a few tunes as an added bonus). His fellow Leatherwood was Tim O'Reagan, future-Jayhawk and solo artist.

.......................................................I WONDER WHAT HE'S UP TO NOW:He's currently working on his next cd.

Mentions and reviews in The Rock Book of Lists and The Trouser Press Guide
Had a song written about me called, appropriately enough, "Todd Newman", recorded and released by the band Kill Creek.
............................................................
......................................................."The Leatherwoods Jamboree from Topeka Oratoria, Medium Cool, 1992 Co-penned by Todd Newman and Paul Westerberg, this ebullient rocker is but one of many highlights from the Leatherwoods debut, which the Trouser Press Record Guide rightfully labels a "lost classic." And while "Jamboree" may be the set's highlight, this list could include half a dozen others--namely "Proof Positive," "Happy Man," "Tinsel Town," "She's Probably Gonna Lie," and Tim O'Reagan's "Dreamworld," the creepiest/sweetest Alyssa Milano stalker song ever laid to wax." --Jim Walsh (in City Pages)
